Right way for Makeup Application

Prepare the base:

A proper base is prepared for application of color makeup products like blush or lipstick. This is done by using foundation, concealer and translucent powder. Avoid using blow dryer for hair after applying makeup as makeup can smudge. Before applying any makeup, cleanse the skin with cleanser. Then apply toner, followed by moisturizer.

Foundation Application:

Makeup application starts with application of foundation. Foundation should match your skin tone. Put few small dots of foundation on cheeks, forehead. Now blend it properly, starting from the centre, upwards and outwards. In this regard, take care that your fingers or the sponge is clean. Before applying foundation, apply moisturizer to soften the skin and blot away extra oil over it. Do not rub or drag your skin too harshly with sponge or finger tips apply foundation or any other cosmetic. Apply foundation over lips and eyelids also to prepare a base for applying color makeup. Foundation color should match your skin tone otherwise it will give cakey appearance.

Concealer Application:

Concealer is very beneficial for hiding under eye dark circles, any marks or blemishes. Concealer is applied after applying foundation for the best results. Apply this directly over the dark patches or marks and then blend it carefully with the foundation. Follow it by the application of translucent powder to smoother and softer effect. When applying it over under eye dark circles, do not drag the skin; instead apply it gently.

Blush Application :

Blush is a cosmetic which gives color to the face. For applying blush, you will need a broad round brush which you can freely and smoothly move over the face. Apply blush in the triangular shape along the cheek bone, towards temples. Blend it carefully upwards and outwards. While applying blush take care that there are no visible harsh lines of blush but instead gets merged with to give soft and warm glow.

Eye shadow Application:

Prepare a base before applying the eye shadow by applying foundation over eyelid. You can create magical effect by playing with different eye shadow colors. You can choose eye shadow color according to your skin tone, outfit and the occasion. You can apply two eye shadow colors at a time for creating right shape. You should apply eye shadow with damp brush to make eye shadow crease- proof and long lasting. Damp brush also prevents loose particles of eye shadow to fall over the cheek which spoils the face makeup.

Eyeliner Application:

Eyeliner should be applied before applying mascara. If you are applying with eyeliner pencil, apply it with sharpened pencil only. In case of liquid eyeliner, choose very fine round tipped eyeliner brush. By applying eyeliner, you can make your eyes look larger or smaller. Apply eyeliner very close to the eyelashes and skin should look between eyeliner and eyelashes. Avoid over application of eyeliner. While applying eyeliner, keep your eye muscles relaxed and your hand steady to avoid any goof up.

Mascara Application:

Mascara provides thickness to eyelashes. Mascara is also available in different colors but black and brown mascara look natural. Twirl the mascara bottle and cover the mascara wand with just enough mascara to cover the eyelashes. Wipe off excess mascara with a tissue. If you apply mascara, more than needed, it will clog up the lashes and spoil the look. To curl the lashes, roll the wand or use an eyelash curler before applying mascara. Start applying mascara from the base of the lashes towards the tip. On lower lashes, mascara should be least or avoid applying on lower lash if you have tendency of rubbing the eyes. Following proper procedure while applying mascara is very important to have a fine and finished look.

Lipstick Application:

To apply lipstick, you should have lip liner, lip color, lip gloss, lip base and lip brush. Draw a shape of lips according to your natural shape with the help of lip liner. Start drawing shape from the middle of upper lip, towards the edges. For lower lips, draw line from corner to corner. Then fill this shape with lip color with the help of lip brush. After it, place a tissue between both lips to blot extra lipstick. Now apply another coat of lipstick. This way, lipstick will stay longer even after eating, drinking and talking.

You can choose lipsticks with moisturizer and sun protection. Besides giving color, lipstick will protect your lips from weather effects.
