5 Effective Herbal Remedies For Bed Sores

Share

If any of your relatives is wheel chair bound or bedridden for a long time he or she may develop bed sores. Bed sores are ulcers that develop on skin mostly over the bony prominences in the back such as the sacrum, coccyx, heels, hips, elbows, knees, ankles etc. The ulcers are a result of injury to the skin of that area due to continuous pressure coupled with friction. Continuous pressure results in disruption in blood supply.

On prolonged disruption the skin cells suffer from lack of nutrition and die a slow death. In terminally ill patients it is very difficult to heal bed sores because it is rarely possible to move them around. However, in general bed sores are treatable if detected early. Irrespective of the stage and kind of disease you can try herbs for relief from the discomfort arising out of bed sores. Let us explore some herbal remedies for bed sores.
