Lemon is highly acidic which kills the bacteria causing the symptoms of food poisoning. Squeeze one lemon and add a little bit of sugar to it. Swallow it as it is to get relief from the food poisoning. If you cant take it in this form, you can also add lemon to your tea to make it more palatable and drink this tea every day to get result.

Peppermint

Peppermint is a great herb for treating many different ailments and one of them is food poisoning. Its soothing effect is especially beneficial in easing the stomach spasms that occur during food poisoning. You can either make peppermint tea from tea bags or simply add a few drops of peppermint oil to your tea to act as one of the herbal remedies for food poisoning.
