Ginger

Cinnamon

Cinnamon is a good remedy especially if the cause of headache is common cold. There are two ways to use it firstly is by intake of a mixture of honey and cinnamon powder both readily available in the market and second is by using raw cinnamon sticks and grinding them enough so as a paste of cinnamon and water can be made out of it and then applying this paste to the forehead for relief.

Mullein

Mullein is a home plant whose roots and velvety yellow flowers are used often to treat the consistent problem of headache. It is best to grow it in your home if not possible use the powder form available in the market.

To make the paste at home take some roots and flowers of the plant and wash them thoroughly and let them dry in the sun till they become eligible to be ground into a powder use two teaspoon of this mixture with water at max twice a day for relief from consistent headaches.

Peppermint

Peppermint as such is known for its calming and soothing effects , hence when in doubt use peppermint one of the best and safest options. Peppermint oil helps open blood vessels which promotes blood flow. Hence massaging with peppermint oil on the head can give you instant relief. Another good option is to apply a paste of peppermint leaves to the head.

Rosemary

Rosemary is a important herb if you suffer from headaches. The anti inflammatory property of the rosmarinic acid present in the plant is the cause of relief.

You can either massage your head with rosemary oil or you can make tea with 1 teaspoon of rosemary along with 1 teaspoon of sage. Drink this tea 2-3 times a day. Within hours you will feel the difference.

Water

Water is a” all weather round” type of treatment for headaches especially when you are in a situation where home remedies mentioned above are not possible for example if you are out of home or in meeting. Water is something you can carry everywhere and use anywhere. Drink loads and loads of water till you feel relief. It might not be the ultimate cure to the ache but is definitely a life savior in difficult situations.
