  • Valerian root is a bad idea. Sedatives are to be avoided when you have sleep apnea. WebMd for example says this. Do some medical research and you will find this out. Also, caffiene is to be avoided. The above may relax you, but they can also get you less oxygen because waking up is the body's way of keeping you from suffocating. Alcohol is also to be avoided.

  • Have you any knowledge of medicine??? You seem to know nothing about sleep apnea! You say, "sleep apnea is defined as cessation during sleeping." No it isn't! A sufferer stops BREATHING, which makes them wake up. Valerian root, or any herbs that made you "stay asleep better" could be dangerous! Think about it. You stop breathing, and your body doesn't wake you up?
