5 Simple Home Remedies For Endometriosis

Endometriosis refers to a condition where the endometrium or the uterus lining grows outside the uterus. The exact cause of endometriosis is unknown. The common symptoms of endometriosis are pelvis pain and infertility and women tend to visit the doctor because of these symptoms and not because they know they have endometriosis. However, it must be remembered that pain cannot be the sole determining factor.

Sometimes, women with excessive pain have mild endometriosis, and the reverse is also possible. It could happen to any woman during her reproductive age and mostly it goes undiagnosed. The pain is likely to increase when the woman approaches the date of her period and the intensity of her pain might vary from month to month.

Most women are prescribed surgery to get rid of the uterus entirely but sometimes there are a few natural remedies that people can use. Home remedies will really help in controlling the symptoms and as soon as the symptoms are brought under control, the periods will regularize and the lady is capable to bear children. Here are some simple home remedies for endometriosis:

Fish Natural Remedy

Fish oil or natural fish has a good content of omega 3 fatty acids which help to regularize your menstrual cycle and avoid painful periods.

Menstrual cramps are taken care of with the help of fish oil. If you don’t like fish, you could opt for supplements for fish oil which are equally effective. Omega 3 fatty acids also help in cleansing your system.

Ice Therapy

Cold is great to control pain and inflammation. You can place an ice pack over the pelvic region or back region if it pains more, for about 15 to 20 minutes at a time. You can perform this treatment for about 3 to 4 times in a day. Cold will help to control the pain and you will feel better.

Tea

You could also try some tea made up form some natural herbs like ginger or chamomile. When you tend to suffer from pain, all your body’s muscles tend to get tensed. Tea will help to soothe your body muscles and you will feel relaxed almost instantly.

Tea will also help get you a good night’s rest and subside the pain. It is possible that you aren’t sleeping well because of the pain and that is causing your symptoms to worsen.

Pelvic Massage

Massage with the help of essential oils will also help to control the pain to a certain extent. You can practice massage twice in a day. Massage will very beneficial to loosen up tense muscles and any accumulated metabolic wastes in your body. The muscles will be able to function better when they are not paining.

Stretching

You could practice some simple exercises or yoga or stretching exercises to get relief from the pain. The muscles of your pelvic region need to stay activated so that the blood and oxygen supply in them is maintained even when there is some ailment.

You can try some massage followed by early morning yoga for best results. In the evening, you start go out for a walk or maybe stretch your muscles for about 30 minutes.
