7 Amazing Natural Cures For Concussion

Concussion is brain injury caused due to a blow to the head, an injury or a fall that shakes the brains inside the skull. Although in some cases there may be cuts and bruises, but visible injury to the brain is not seen. Symptoms of concussion go from mild to severe and can last for hours, weeks and sometimes even for months.

The main symptoms are not being able to think or concentrate properly, weak memory, headache, blurry vision, nausea, vomiting and dizziness. This can be taken care of with some natural remedies as follows:

Natural Cures For Concussion

Cinnamon

One of the symptoms of concussion is nausea, and to treat the nausea caused due to concussion, cinnamon is one of the remedies.  Take one cup of boiling water and add to it a tea spoon of cinnamon powder.

Strain the liquid and drink it warm. This has to be taken twice a day. If taken daily it will heal and get rid of the nausea caused by concussion.

Peach Juice

When you are having a headache during concussion, have a glass of peach juice. The healing properties of these fruits will help get rid of the headaches and help control concussion. Have this juice at least two times a day.

Fennel Seeds

Take a cup of boiling water and add to it finely crushed fennel seeds. Keep it in the water for around 10 minutes. Strain the water and drink it slowly.

Drinking this liquid twice a day, for some weeks will help get rid of many of the symptoms associated with concussion.

Mustard

To heal or cure concussion, the circulation of blood to the brains has to be enhanced. This is one remedy which will exactly do that. Take a little mustard and mix it with equal measures of salt, pepper and vinegar. Consume this mixture with a glass of water three times a day.  This will help in increasing blood circulation to the body including the brains.

Eggs

They are a very good source of proteins.  They have properties that can boost the nervous system and can heal the memory loss caused due to concussion.

Hence eggs eaten in any form will help in curing concussion. Scrambled eggs are good for healing an injury to the head.

Mint

This is another remedy to relieve you of nausea associated with concussion. You can either consume mint in the form of tea or consume mint leaves directly. To make mint tea, add some mint leaves in a pot of boiling water and allow it to steep for sometime. Strain the contents and then sip this tea when it is warm. If you consume mint leaves immediately after consuming the mint tea, it is more effective.

Fish Oil

People suffering from head injuries such as concussion should have a good amount of fish oil in their diet.  This will help in healing the head injuries quickly. Eat fish such as salmon, mackerel or can have fish oil capsules available in the market.

Fish oil helps in the healing process as well as it reduces the swelling in the brain. It also heals the symptoms of concussion such as headaches, dizziness and loss of memory.
