Restless leg syndrome is condition of the nerves that is very common. However, many people suffering from the condition are too embarrassed to get treated for it and therefore in many cases the condition goes unreported and untreated. Also there are many people who fail to realize that they are suffering from restless leg syndrome.

Restless leg syndrome, as the name suggests, is characterized by movement of the legs. This movement is involuntary. The syndrome is mild in form in most people. However, in severe cases the condition can make life miserable as people do not seem to have control over their bodies, specifically the legs.

The common symptom associated with restless leg syndrome is a tingling sensation. The sensation is experienced mainly in the legs and feet. Another symptom is twitching of the muscles present in the legs. Insomnia is a direct result of restless leg syndrome because sleep becomes impossible with all the convulsions going on in the legs. Many sufferers also go through depression, anxiety, stress and panic.

If you don’t wish to see a doctor for your condition you can try some simple herbal remedies at home. These herbal remedies have been around for centuries and are absolutely safe to use. What’s more, they are quite effective in treating restless leg syndrome.
