Foot fungus is also known as athlete’s foot. This infection is a common form of dermatitis which affects the webs of the toes and soles of the feet. The skin becomes red, itchy and scaly. Tiny blisters filled with fluid erupt on the skin in between the toes and the oozing blisters cause a lot of pain and burning. The skin can even crack and peel and emit a foul odor at times. The infection, if not treated can even spread to the groin, hands and other parts of the body.
The fungus thrives in a moist and warm environment and many people develop this infection at some time during their lives. Most people acquire this infection by walking barefoot on contaminated floors of public bathrooms, locker rooms and gyms. The infection is detected when there is intense itching and burning in the foot. It is important to keep your feet dry and well aired all the time even after you are rid of the infection to prevent future recurrences.
Tea tree oil has powerful antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties which quickly deal with all kinds of microbes and cure the skin infection extremely fast. Wash your feet with a mild soap and dry them well. Take a cotton ball and dip it into some tea tree oil. Dab the oil all over the blisters three or four times daily. Tea tree oil will also provide immense relief in the itching and burning.
Apple cider vinegar is widely used in curing a host of diseases and ailments. It has natural antimicrobial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties which destroy the fungus and heal the infection within a short time. Before you go to bed, take a cotton ball and dip it into some apple cider vinegar. Dab the vinegar all over the infected area. After the vinegar dries, apply again and keep it overnight. Do this on a daily basis to cure your foot fungus.
Take some turmeric powder and mix it with two parts of arrowroot powder. Sprinkle the mixture all over your feet and in between the toes and pack it well onto the oozing blisters. Turmeric has superb antifungal and antiseptic qualities which will deal with the infection rapidly and swiftly. Arrowroot powder will help to keep your feet dry. You can sprinkle this mixture as often as you please.
Aloe vera is an effective remedy that works quickly to destroy the fungus and alleviate the itching and burning. Take a fresh aloe vera leaf and peel it to remove the gel. Rub the gel all over your feet, in between the toes and the nails and massage the juice into the skin as much as you can. Apply regularly two or three times daily till your infection is completely cured.
Grind a few cloves of garlic and rub it all over the affected areas. Let the garlic dry and keep it for as long as possible. Apply regularly two or three times daily to kill the fungus at its root.
