Rosacea is a condition of the skin where it becomes immune to infections and irritations of varying magnitude. The most common victims of this variety of skin disease are found among people belonging to the Celtic regions. Rashes appear on parts of the face and look more prominent on fair skinned people. The first symptoms of Rosacea, although similar in nature, should never be confused or ignored for acne. Research shows that the disease has already taken an alarming five percent of the world’s population under its tentacles which includes women in their forties going through the post menstrual phase.
Although nose, cheeks or forehead are known to be the usual territories of a Rosacea intrusion at times even necks or chest are not spared either. There is a difference of opinion regarding the principal factors causing Rosacea. Some believe that a brush with skin mites, a variety of yeast called pityrosporum ovale and other yet to be identified bacteria play a major role in triggering Rosacea. On the other hand, the other schools are of the opinion that psychological issues too have a part to play in the development of the disease.
While cure may be a far fetched word in this situation, it is always worth trying out some home grown remedies to keep Rosacea under control at least. The combination should never be disturbed since Sea buckthorn oil may leave yellow patches on your skin when used without diluting with another chemical.
Chamomile always feels nice on the skin. So add some chamomile flowers to a pot of boiling water, allow it to strain for a while and put the solution out for cooling. Now with the help of cotton pads gently apply the water all over the affected area for best results.
A patent Chinese herb Jigucao promotes healing of the skin. Take 500 milligrams three times daily. Licorice is one herb that has anti-inflammatory effects on the skin. So mix one tea spoon of finely powdered Licorice herbs, one tea spoon of honey with aloe Vera gel and apply it on your face. Wait for fifteen minutes and then rinse off the mixture with water.
