Deep Breathing

Lie down and practice deep breathing for at least 10 minutes everyday. Take 100 deep breaths in such a way that it causes movement of the stomach region. Oxygen has healing properties and inhaling fresh air helps to cure the numbness in nerves.

Massage And Exercise

Movement and activity can help stimulate muscles in the body and control the movements and positions that are generally affected by neuropathy. Exercise and massage in the legs and hands will help reduce the pain caused by neuropathy.

It will also increase circulation of blood in the body and reduce numbness. Attend chiropractic massage sessions to improve nerve and muscle coordination.

Water

It has been medically proven that most patients of neuropathy have been drinking less water throughout life. Drinking more than the required amount of water for proper functioning of the body is recommended to cure neuropathy completely.

Since toxic substances cause immobility of nerves, flushing them out with water is necessary. The recommended dose of daily water intake per neuropathy patient is half his/her body weight.

Herbal Treatments

St. John’s wort is the most effective herbal remedy for neuropathy. It particularly helps to cure injuries afflicted on nerves of the hands and feet. Oat seed is another effective herbal treatment that removes numbness of body muscles.

Also consume nettle seeds if the pain in your nerves is unbearable, the extract from these seeds have inflammatory properties that reduce swelling and pain.

Vitamins must be the primary nutrient in foods to be taken by people who suffer from neuropathy. Generally vitamin enriched food is also rich in antioxidants.

For instance, fruits like blueberry and blackberry and fresh green vegetables must be consumed as they release antioxidants in the bloodstream which fight the free radicals causing infection and improve the condition of the human immune system. Antioxidants also help to neutralize the effect of toxic substances in the body.

Cayenne

Red pepper, also known as cayenne is one of the most effective cures of neuropathy. Consumption of cayenne releases the chemical capsaicin in the blood which eases pain and improves blood circulation.

Daily consumption stimulates the dormant nerves by curing numbness. As it is very spicy, dilute in water or mix while cooking before consumption of cayenne.

Magnesium

Eat legumes, nuts and whole grains for daily requirement of magnesium in diet. This nutrient prevents clotting of blood, helps in cell regeneration, coordinates the nerve functions with muscle movements and releases fresh energy in your system.

The recommended daily magnesium dose is 400 mg. a magnesium deficient diet is listed as one of the main causes of neuropathy in old people.
