Dandelion

Apple Cider Vinegar

ACV is one of the best folk remedy for psoriasis. Apple cider vinegar contains important nutrients and vitamins unlike other vinegars. Prepare an apple cider vinegar compress to cure your psoriasis, mix 1 part apple cider vinegar with 3 parts of water and dab the cloth in this water to use as a compress, apply this ACV compress to make the skin more alkaline, which helps to reduce redness and irritation.

For lesions and red patches dab a cotton ball in ACV and apply it on the affected area. Leave this overnight and wash off in the morning. Castor oil, chamomile, emu oil, cayenne pepper and grape seed extract are other home remedies that help to cure psoriasis.   • Note that straight apple cider vinegar (as suggested "for lesions and red patches") can burn like h-e-double-hockey-sticks on the psoriatic skin. Not saying don't do it, just giving you a heads-up on what to expect.

    Oh, and speaking of heads, rinse ACV out of hair before going out in the sun or you can end up with bleached patches. Learned this the hard way.

  • I have used olive oil for years now. Was surprised not to see it on the list. Took me off 6 different meds from doctor.
    I drink it in the morning with lemon. At night I rub on skin.
