Tennis Elbow is a condition in which the elbow gets injured resulting in a pain in the lateral part of it. Lateral Epicondylalgia is the medical term used for tennis elbow. Tennis elbow has got nothing to do with the game tennis.It is just that tennis players are very often found experiencing this problem. Any movement of the wrist or arm, which involves a twist or bending of the wrist in backward or turning position, like playing tennis, painting, repetitive typing, hammering or using a screwdriver may lead to tennis elbow. Men are more affected by tennis elbow than women.
Mostly, people in the age group of 30-50 get affected by the elbow disorder, however, any age person can get this problem. This pain can be sometimes very moderate while at times may also be severe. The elbow disorder may last for around six months to up to 2 years. The pain may extend from the elbow to the shoulders to the arm and finally to the wrist.
The first and the foremost symptom of tennis elbow is experiencing pain on the outer part of the elbow. You will notice that a person with tennis elbow will feel pain while using their wrist and forearm.Tennis players can feel pain in their dominant arm like right handed players will feel pain in their right arm while left handed players will feel pain in their left arm. The pain increases while doing any hand activity. Pain killers may help to reduce the pain but do not provide an effective and permanent solution to the problem.

A person suffering from tennis elbow problem will experience a strange kind of numbness, burning as well as a tingling sensation on the affected side of the hand.And because of this, the affected person will find it very difficult to move his or hand.
