Liver pain is often hard to identify because so many conditions cause pain in the abdomen. Pain that occurs in the upper right abdomen is generally liver pain. Even then, it can be confused with intestinal pain, pancreatitis and other abdominal disorders. The pain receptors of the liver lie in the capsule that covers a portion of the liver. Any pressure on the capsule results in pain. An enlargement of the liver, acute inflammation and distention of the liver’s surface; can all exert pressure on the capsule.
Buildup of fluid in the abdomen, gastritis, gallstones and irritable bowel syndrome can also irritate and put pressure on the liver. Causes of pain originating in the liver itself are fatty liver disease, liver abscess and hepatitis. This pain is generally felt in the right shoulder and can be accompanied by nausea, pain and swelling in the abdomen, bloating, fatigue, fever, chills, joint pain, itchy skin, discolored urine, jaundice and general malaise.

Its potent antioxidant properties relieve the body of all the harmful toxins and thus reduce the strain on the liver.
Grate one big amla and soak it in a glass of water for half an hour then drink the mixture. If fresh amlas are not available then you can swallow a teaspoon of dried amla powder with some water.
Green tea is another simple remedy which will keep you and your liver in good health. Green tea perhaps, has the most powerful antioxidant properties which scavenge all the harmful toxins and other impurities from the liver and the body and optimize its function.
Boil a cup of water and add one heaped teaspoon of green tea to it. After ten minutes strain the tea and drink three to four cups of it daily.
Methi seeds are full of valuable medicinal values which are very beneficial in curing a wide range of diseases and disorders. They are full of magnificent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties which get rid of toxins and reduce the inflammation in the liver tissue.
Methi seeds also prevent fat deposits and thus improve the function of the liver. Soak a teaspoon of methi seeds in half a cup of water. In the morning swallow the methi seeds together with the water.
Garlic is a very useful remedy for all kinds of liver problems. It removes all the toxins and keeps the liver in good functioning order. Swallow four or five minced cloves of garlic with some water every morning.
