Makeup Basics for Perfect makeup

The main objective of applying makeup should be enhancing the best possible natural features on an individual’s face and improving upon the less attractive features. Makeup should not hide the actual image of the face. Makeup should not overshadow your natural normal personality. You should feel beautiful and confident from inside after applying makeup. Weather you apply makeup in routine or for special occasion, makeup basics are the same. If you apply makeup in hurry because of lack of time, then too, you have to follow some makeup basics.

Makeup Basic 1: Application of foundation:

The way you apply foundation makes the base for all other makeup products. Foundation helps to even out skin, covering all marks and blemishes. Foundation helps to make the skin flawless and smooth so that color makeup can glide over it. Start your makeup regimen with application of foundation. Choose whatever form of foundation you want as per your needs. Take little foundation on your palm and apply in the form of dots on cheeks, chin, forehead, and nose. Blend it well using a triangular cosmetic sponge. Cover each and every point on the face with foundation to make an even tone. Do not forget to apply it over the neck and ears also.

Makeup Basic 2: Applying Concealer

Concealer is a very vital makeup product in your kit. It helps to hide out all the scars, blemishes, marks, under eye circles and pimples on your face which cannot be covered by foundation. Makeup basic is to apply it after applying the foundation. Shade of concealer should be a bit lighter than that of foundation.

Makeup Basic 3: Applying Powder:

After applying foundation and concealer, application of loose translucent powder is a very essential step for preparing a good base for makeup. It gives the soft hue to the face and also set and seals the foundation. It helps to even out the rough patches on the skin. Makeup can last for long because of the powder.

Makeup Basic 4: Applying Eyeshadow:

Makeup basic is that choose the eyeshadow shade according to your skin tone. If you are wearing eyeshadow during the day, it should be of lighter shade while for evening, you can choose a heavier one also. Before applying eye shadow over the eyelids, prepare a base by applying foundation and an eye shadow of neutral tone. It will prevent eye shadow to accumulate into the crease after sometime. Now select two shades of eye shadow if you want an artistic blending. Apply a medium tone of eye shadow on upper eyelid, starting from lash line to crease of eyelid. Then apply dark shade eye shadow on the crease of eyelids. Use a proper eye shadow brush or soft sponge applicator. After applying both shades, blend them well and smudge of the sharp lines. You can give any shape like rounded or winged by stretching the color to corners of the eyes.

Makeup basic 5: Applying Eyeliner

You can choose any form of mascara you are comfortable with. If applying liquid eyeliner, make sure that eyeliner brush is fine and point sharp so that you can draw an unbroken straight line. Pencil eyeliner should be sharpened before application and it should softened by heating gently by blow dryer otherwise it will pull skin. Another thing is to have proper light. Apply eyeliner touching the lash line in natural eye shape. You can give artistic effects also and change the shape. For smoky eye effect draw a sharp line first and then smudge it gently using a cotton swab.

Makeup Basic 6: Applying Mascara:

Apply mascara after completing application of all other eye makeup products. Cover the mascara wand with mascara and remove excess of mascara by dabbing it over the tissue. Start applying it from the base to the tip of lashes in upward direction and apply it from both sides. If you want curled lashes, use eyelash curler before mascara application. Apply second coat of mascara when first coat is completely dry.

Makeup Basic 7: Applying Blush:

Apply blush with a large, broad and round brush with natural fibers. Apply blush from the apple of cheeks towards hairline on temples. Do not apply it very high on the cheeks normally. Dust it with little translucent powder to soften the effect.

Makeup basic 8: Applying Lipstick:

Moisturize the lips and prepare base by applying lip base. Draw the shape of the lip with help of sharpened lip liner. Then fill in the lip color with the help of lip brush. Bloat away excess of lipstick and then apply second coat. In the last, apply lip gloss.
