Most Effective Home Remedies For Malaria

Using Grapefruit

Grapefruit is considered to be an effective home remedy for curing malaria. Grapefruit contains natural substances like quinine, which you can easily extract just by boiling some grapefruit and then straining the pulp of the boiled grapefruit. Give the grapefruit pulp everyday to the malaria patient to give some relief from malaria.

Fever Nut Seeds

Fever nut seed is also an effective home remedy for treating malaria. You need to give six grams of fever nut seeds with a glass of water to the person affected with malaria two hours before the expected onset of paroxysm of malaria fever.

The next dose is then required to be given after an hour of the attack. You can easily avoid the paroxysm and even if it happens again repeat the same dosages and the fever will reduce.

Datura Leaves

The datura leaves have also proved to be a useful home remedy for treating malarial fever. Take about two and a half leaves of datura and make them into a pill just by mixing them with jiggery. Give it to the patient two hour ahead of the usual onset time of the paroxysm.

Using Cinnamon

Cinnamon works very well in treating malaria. Boil together a glass of water with a teaspoon of cinnamon powder and then add some honey and pepper powder to it. Give this mixture to the malaria patient twice a day to help the person recover from this ailment.

Water And Orange Juice

An appropriate diet plays a very important role in treating malaria. It helps to take orange juice and water for fast for a couple of days. In addition, you can put the patient on fresh fruits and vegetables diet depending on how severe is the malarial fever.

Using Lemon and Lime

Lemon and lime are considered to be helpful remedies for curing malaria. Mix about 3 grams of lime to the juice of a lemon and 50 ml water. This water should be given to the malaria patient before the onset of the malarial fever.

Roasted Alum Powder

Alum is also a very effective home remedy for curing malaria. Roast alum and powder it. Give about half a teaspoon of the alum powder four hours before the usual onset of the attack. You also need to give about the same dose after every two hours of the attack.
