Coffee

It widens the bronchi and airway moderately relaxing and encouraging the air flow. However, the impact of caffeine may take a few hours to set in and it is milder than the actual medicine.
Eucalyptus Oil
Eucalyptus oil has been used to ease breathing since times immemorial. Usually used for congestion and relieving the symptoms of cold, this oil can be used for asthma as well. The substance eucalyptol contained in eucalyptus is known to break the mucous and widen the airway instantly helping you breathe easy.
It acts as an anti-septic as well for the respiratory tract. There are multiple ways in which it can be used. You can add this oil to water and inhale the steam of the water. Garlic With Honey
Garlic and honey are both asthma remedies. You can either take 2-3 cloves of garlic and gulp it down with warm water added with honey or just boil a cup of milk with 10-11 garlic cloves. The cloves will completely infuse into milk within 10-15 minutes.
Now add honey to this garlic and milk concoction and consume for relief. Honey helps in asthma as it has some component of alcohol and presence of oils that helps clear and ease the congestion in the air tract and lungs. You can consume this solution 2-3 times in a day for lasting effect.
Ginger
This is another traditional home remedy used for respiratory ailments. It can also be consumed in various number of ways. Boil some water and add 2-3 pieces of crushed ginger in it. This tea can help you with the asthma and related symptoms.
Another way of receiving the anti-asthmatic benefits of ginger are chew a small clove of it with a pinch of black pepper and honey. This mixture will also treat and heal the inflammation of the respiratory system.
