Asafetida
All people experience gas pain at one point or another in their lives. Sometimes the gas is trapped inside the digestive tract and is unable to escape either through the mouth or through the anus. Asafetida has been used since time immemorial for curing all kinds of gastric disorders.
Whenever you experience gas pain, take a glass of warm water and dissolve a quarter teaspoon of powdered asafetida into it. Drink the mixture and instantly you will have a loud big burp or flatus as the gas escapes. Together with the gas your pain too will vanish.
Ajwain Or Carom Seeds
Ajwain is another very effective remedy for getting rid of the gas fast and bringing relief in the pain. Take one teasppon of ajwain and put it on a hot griddle. Roast the seeds till they puff up then remove them from the griddle onto a wooden board.
Crush the seeds finely and mix half a teaspoon of kala namak with it. Swallow the mixture with a glass of water. You will be relieved of the gas and the pain within a very short time. Ajwain will also help digestion and will clear away all the accumulated and impacted feces from the colon.
Baking Soda
Take a glass of water and squeeze the juice of half a lime into it. Add half a teaspoon of salt and stir in one teaspoon of baking soda.
Drink the mixture quickly before the fizz settles down. You will have a quick release of the gas as soon as the mixture hits your stomach and your pain will disappear instantly.
Peppermint
Take some fresh peppermint leaves and grind them to a fine paste. Mix the paste into a glass of water and stir in a big pinch of kala namak.
Drink the mixture and after a few minutes the spasms of pain will abate considerably. Peppermint will also aid digestion and will promote a regular bowel movement thus eliminating any chances of gas pain.
Ginger
Peel a piece of ginger and mash it to a pulp. Add a few drops of lemon and a pinch of salt to it and chew the mixture slowly. Ginger will immediately help in dispelling the accumulated gas and bringing relief in the pain.
