Another natural asthma remedy that will work during an attack is to rub a small amount of mustard oil mixed with camphor on the persons chest. The vapors will seep into the nasal passage and reduce the inflammation in the airways. It will also help soothe any irritation that has occurred.  Drinking hot tea or coffee will also help during an asthma attack.  The steam will help open your airways, the caffeine in the coffee reduces the histamine and the tea’s natural enzymes will soothe the bronchial lining.  This should only be done during a mild asthma attack, because drinking something could block the narrowed airways during a severe attack.

Mustard Oil

Ginger tea mixed with garlic is an excellent natural asthma remedy. If you drink this mixture twice daily your symptoms will noticeably reduce. Another drink mixture is cloves steeped in boiling water, mixed with a teaspoon of honey. Consumed daily, this drink will give you long-lasting relief. Omega-3 fatty acids also are great long-term asthma remedies. They reduce inflammation in the body and prevent it from happening in future attacks. So adding it to your diet, is a good choice for a natural asthma remedy.
