The medical name of the stye is hordeolum. It is one of the common disorders of eyelids. It appears as a red and small lump on the outside or inside of eyelids. 1. Castor Oil
Anti-bacterial properties of this amazing oil are found to be effective against styes. Take a very little amount of castor oil and apply directly on the stye for two or three times a day. This method is highly beneficial in speeding up the healing process (1).
2. Warm Compress
Warm compress is another effective home remedy for getting rid of eye stye. Take a fine piece of cloth and dip it in the hot water. See that the water is not too hot. Squeeze out excess water from the cloth and apply it on the eye stye. Hold this warm compress on the affected eye for five to ten minutes. You can follow this process for three to four times in a day (2).
3. Black Tea
You can easily get rid of an eye stye with the help of the black tea. For this, take a small bag, add one teaspoon of black tea in that small bag. Then, add some warm water for moistening it.
