Eczema can be very painful and the search for treatments that work can be just as painful. The thing to remember is that the safest Eczema treatment is always going to be natural products. Instead of going to the pharmacy go to the local health food store or vitamin store, herbs, oils, and even select fresh produce have proven safe and effective. Often times the expensive creams and exfoliating cleansers contain harmful chemicals that further irritate the skin. They can also range in price from sixty dollars to hundreds of dollars. Whenever you are dealing with a non- life threatening disorder the first place to look is in natural materials.
Some ingredients can be pricey but not compared to commercial products and will last a lot longer.
This paste requires turmeric powder and neem leaves. Both of these can be found at most health food stores. Mash equal portions (approx. 1 tablespoon each) of these herbs together to form a paste. Then apply the paste to the affected areas and let sit for at least five minutes.
Oils are an excellent way to hydrate sensitive skin without irritation. Many oils have been used specifically for Eczema treatment and are very affective.
Coconut oil is very common for moisturizing. It is simply applied daily to the skin. No need to wash it off but is preferred cleanse gently with a small amount of purified water.
A second oil that can be used is virgin olive oil. The same application applies. Although this one is not as pleasantly fragranced as the last it seems to be equally effective.
There are several other oils that can be substituted as long as you stick with the virgin oils it should do its job. However recent research has shown that coconut oil is the most effective not only in Eczema treatment but in several other skin disorders as well.
The important thing to remember when treating a skin disorder is that a lot of factors depend on the individual’s background such as genetics, skin type, and skin color. There is a cure out there!
