Eyebrow Brush

Eyebrows make prominent feature on the face. Eyebrows help to define eyes by framing them. Eyebrows help to give expressions to the face. Eyebrows have to be maintained regularly to keep them beautiful. Shape of eyebrows is an important part facial beauty and personality. There are many methods to keep them in shape. Eyebrow brush is one such important tool to help maintaining eyebrows.

Eyebrow brush gives control over unruly eyebrows. Eyebrow brushes are the stiffest brushes in your makeup tool kit. Eyebrow brush gives final sophisticated touch to the eyebrow. Choose an eyebrow brush with firm nylon bristles. These stiff bristles are of great help for separating the eyebrows and shaping them. These brushes can help to control and groom small eyebrow hairs. Eyebrow brush should have slant or angled head. It is useful in applying the small amount of eye shadow in brow hairs.

There are two types of brow brushes available. One is the angled brow brush and other is the eyebrow comb/brush combo.

Angled brow brush:

This brush is perfect for accurately placing and filling powder in the eyebrow. It has natural bristles which are slightly harder than powder puff brush. Using this brush brow powder can be evenly applied with a stencil. You can also apply powder precisely by freehand using this brush.

Brow Comb/Brush Combo

 This is a combination brush to achieve dual functions. This brush helps in daily grooming and brow shaping. It has a comb on one side and brush on the other side. This tool quickly flips the hair through stencil gap and then brush hair flat on the stencil portion. You can get long handle or short handle brush.

Using an eyebrow Brush

First you should choose an eyebrow shape according to your facial features. Once you get the perfect shape, you should groom and maintain it using eyebrow brush. To handle stray hairs, make use of brow comb. You can use slanted brush to define and enhance the shape of brow.

You should tweeze away extra hair from brow. Move the brush across the eyebrow in opposite direction of growth of hair. Now observe for stray hair and pluck them away. Now brush them back. Avoid over plucking as it would lead to thinning of brow. For filling of bow with brow powder, select shade of brow powder. Shade of the brow powder should be a shade lighter than the natural color of brow. Now cover the brow brush with brow powder. Tap off the extra powder and apply it over the brow. It should be done with gentle movement, in direction of hair growth.

To create softer look, smudge the color. Angled brush should be run through inner brow to outer brow in short strokes.

Eyebrow brush is used after plucking or tweezing too. Brush the eyebrow hair back in place for keeping them in place. Eyebrow brush is also used in routine for combing the eyebrow hair. Hair should be combed in the direction of its growth.

How to Clean Eyebrow Brush:

Any eyebrow brush can gather dust and bacteria if not cleaned regularly and properly. Wash and clean these eyebrow brushes once a week. Cleaning of brush is important to keep your skin and face healthy.

Use warm water to wash the bristles of makeup brush. Pour little shampoo on the bristles and form a light lather. Now rinse the bristles properly under running water to clean the shampoo. You will see the color dripping from the eyebrow brush and keep washing it until no color comes out of it. Do not rub it dry it rather air dry it.
