HOME REMEDIES FOR BOILS

A boil many times also defined or known as a skin abscess. It is nothing but a localized infection that is deeply seated beneath the skin. A boil normally begins as a reddened and tender area. Eventually, the area will become firm and hard. Gradually, the center of that abscess will soften and will be filled with infection.

The infection will fight with white blood cells that the body sends via the bloodstream to eradicate the infection. The collection of those white blood cells, dead bacteria (sometimes live too), and proteins is collectively known as pus. At end, the pus will form a head that can be surgically opened or spontaneously drained out through the surface of the skin.

There are various types of boils including Furuncle or Carbuncle, Cystic acne, Pilondial cyst and Hidradenitis suppurativa seen in different cases. The appearance of the boils depends upon the causative factor and the condition of the disease.

I regularly get boils in my groin area because my legs rub together there. I have found that soaking in a warm bath with tea tree oil at least once a week helps to prevent boils from forming and also to shrink the existing ones. I also found that drinking more water helps them to heal faster.

Eggshells work perfectly, And it doesnt even take a day. If you crack open an egg and place the shell with the egglining still inside on the boil within a few hours it will come to a head and puss will evacuate. I didnt believe it until I did it for myself.

I've gotten boils for about 4 years and hot baths with peroxide and salt help some of the discomfort. I had one on the back of my leg and i went to the doctor for it but it was way more trouble and pain then it was worth.

Since I had my last child I have been getting boils regularly when I get my period. At first I believed it was a change in my hormones that caused it but over some time I came to reliaze that mine are caused by Always maxi pads. Apparently after having a child my body became allergic to them. So I stopped wearing them and only have a problem when I'm very stressed. I also found that placing a warm tea bag on your boil will help raise all the puss to the surface so it can be drained quicker.
