Smother your head with sorbaline cream and leave in for three hours and wash out with anti dandruff shampoos... and u should only use conditioner on the ends of your hair as they are the dead ends. its actually bad for your scalp if you put conditioner on your scalp
#20 - Kirt - 01/13/2009 - 22:44
Avoid straightning your hair and ESPECIALLY avoid hair spray it soaks out any natural moisture in your hair. and if you get hair spray on your scalp its very bad.. it makes our hair hard and stiff and dry so imagine what it does to our scalp id say HAIRSPRAY is defnatley a NO NO!

#22 - reena - 01/17/2009 - 12:20
I had been struggling for a month or two before I tried this and it really worked: First, get your hair wet in shower/bath, get a handfull of baking soda, get it a little wet so that it makes a sort of paste, and then massage into your scalp, and after about a minute or so rinse. Then I used some selsun blue shampoo (even though Im sure you could use any kind of shampoo that is ment to take away dandruff), and massageed it onto my scalp, let it sit for a couple minutes and rinsed. Then I used a little conditioner to soften my hair, like usual, and rinsed it out after about 5 mins....I really worked for me!:-D Hope it works for you!;-)
#23 - Ella - 01/19/2009 - 22:34

Hai... TRY THIS and see IT REALY WORKS In the NIGHT SOAK 2spoons of FENUGREK SEEDS in WATER and in the MORNING add few HIBISCUS LEAVES AND CURRY LEAVES to it and GRIND it into PASTE. Along with that paste ADD LIME JUICE, VINEGAR, CURD, TEA ESSENCE, EGG YOLK. Then mix it well. Keep the mixture seperately. Now in a small bowl add coconut oil, neem oil, castor oil, almond oil and heat it by placing the bowl in hot water(do not heat oil directly in the flame)and then add camphor to it. now apply the oil to the scalp and gently massage and then after sometime apply fenugrek mixture into the scalp. #65 - claire - 11/10/2009 - 11:36
I deal with dandruff lately, but I've been discovering really good ways of getting rid of it. It's worked for me so far, and here's the trick for a healthy scalp: DO NOT, I repeat, do not use anything that has detergents or alcohol in them. I've seen people who say they use Listerine all the way to dish soap to Sea Breeze (an alcohol astringent for the face), and this is frightening.
You guys, the sebum, our natural oils, are GOOD. The trick is to get your hair to balance these oils, and dandruff will stop appearing after a while. However, our scalps overload on oil and dandruff when we strip it all away with ingredients that honestly are not good for our bodiees in general. Baking soda is natural, and even though it may feel like it's taking away a lot of oil from the hair, it actually only takes away excess oils. This remedy is very good; take a tablespoon of baking soda, and mix it in a large cup of water. Pour it over the hair and rub it all the way down to the scalp. Leave it in for a minute to three minutes, then rinse. Another remedy is apple cider vinegar; white vinegar just makes hair greasy, but apple cider is better AND can be used as a body astringent. Mix a couple of tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in a large cup of water and use it as a rinse after shampooing or after washing hair with the baking soda rinse. Rub in and let it sit for a few minutes, then rinse out really good or else you'll smell like fish and chips. :) You can also soak a cotton ball in apple cider vinegar and massage it into problem areas where it seems the most flaky and itchy before washing your hair. Do these baking soda and vinegar rinse every other day or every other two or three days, or else it'll be overload for your hair and scalp. One last great remedy is using eggs. Scramble one to two eggs, mix with a bit of water to thin out the mixture and pour it onto your hair. Rub in and let it sit for a few minutes, then rinse out. As well, only do this every couple or few days. I only do this once a week, because it's gives me a strong result. So people, just remember the idea isn't to use overpowering alcohols, detergents like generic shampoos or even dish soap (why anyone would think that's a good idea is beyond me). Work with your body; find a balance with natural remedies. It'll take patience and time, but it's worth it, trust me on that.

Instead of attempting to rid your ailments with chemical laden products bought at the chain store retailers, I would recommend trying out the more natural remedies such as Organic Neem Seed Oil, Natural Henna, Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, and Organic Rosemary Herbal Oil from "homegrown retailers." Mountain Rose Herbs has some amazing, affordable products. All natural henna also works to strengthen your scalp and hair while reducing dandruff! Lastly, it goes without saying, maintain a healthy diet and lifestyle as much as possible. Give back to the true organic companies that give to us and our families! B-)

massage your scalp before gettin into the shower to loosen dead skin cells (aka Dandruff). And lightly massage coconut oil into scalp or wherever dandruff is. And for the best hair ever, which includes dandruff free hair mash and peel an avocado add some coconut, olive, almond, jojoba, rosemary, etc. oil into the avocado, just enought oil to move hte avocado around like a thick paste. pply to scalp leave for 15-30 mins andrise out WELL or ur hair will be oily. Wash w/ shampoo don't condition unless hair is really dry

OK I know this sounds really stupid and silly but I had really bad flakes and itching for a few months and nothing seemed to work. Then my friend told me that sperm would do wonders. I didnt believe her but had run out of options and figured what the hell. So I had my boyfriend help, I wont go into details, but it freaking worked. Unbelievable!!!

massage lemon juice on to your scalp and leave it for 15minutes... rinse hair, it will not only remove your dandruff but it will make your hair shiny and soft and it adds volume or body to your hair... ;-) :-) :-D
