SWELLING OF FEET DURING PREGNANCY

During the third trimester of pregnancy swelling of feet and lower legs is the normal problem that affects almost 90 percent of the pregnant women. It is also known as edema.

Causes of Swelling of Feet
The various causes of swelling during pregnancy are:
  • Increase in the blood volume
  • High intake of sodium and caffeine
  • Long standing periods
  • Low levels of potassium in diet
  • High levels of uric acid in the blood
Home Remedies for Swelling of Feet

Barley water is a good diuretic that helps in reducing the swelling.

Diet for swelling of feet - Boil a few tablespoons of coriander seed in two cups of water. Stop boiling when the liquid is reduced to one cup. This is a good home remedy for swelling of feet during pregnancy.

Its best to rest with the feet up after short intervals of time. This is one of the best natural remedy for swelling of feet.

Keeping the feet under running cold water for 10-15 minutes before resting will provide relief from edema. This is also good home remedy for swelling of feet.

Coffee and alcoholic drinks should be avoided as they dehydrate the body from essential fluids. This is one of the useful swelling of feet remedy.

Swelling of feet cure - Salty foods and snacks should also be avoided.

A well balanced diet including all the essential nutrients is highly beneficial

dandilion root makes a good diuretic without acting as a stimulant. Make it as a tea or take the extract in pill form works to take fluid off of the extremities.

Remedy for Swelling
Elivate the feet while sleeping, prop them up on two pillows at night, it is comfy and also helps with swelling. Also, make sure you are not retaining an unhealthy amoung of water, if so, take over the counter water pills such as Durex Pregnancy

keep the feet in hot water(add 1 spoon salt)for 5 to 10 min.it 'll help u to releave from heel pain also

NO DANdiLOIN ROOT is not to be used during pregnancy - Dandilion is used for the liver and too strong for pregnancy - please do not use during pregnancy

for swellin feet during prenancy, try boiling barley with red bean (without sugar). Drink a few glasses. Drink twice a week. It helps
