When cataract is mentioned, people generally think of a film that has grown on the eyes causing to see double or blurred images. Home Remedies For Cataract Carrots are said to be great part as cataract home remedy treatment. Eat plenty of raw carrots on a daily basis. If one does not like eating raw carrots then fresh carrot juice will also serve the purpose. Drink it twice a day; in the morning and in the evening.

The best home remedy for cataract also includes consuming 2-3 cloves of garlic everyday. Eat garlic raw and chew them slowly. Garlic aids in cleansing the crystalline lens of the eye but one should be cautious taking garlic if having acidity problem.

Simple home remedy for cataract includes taking extract the juice of pumpkin flowers and then applying them on the eyelids twice a day.

Using carrots has also been found as useful home remedies for cataract. A person suffering from cataract is to eat plenty of raw carrots daily. Alternatively, he or she should take two glasses of carrot juice everyday, one glass each in the morning and evening.

Diet for Cataract - One can go for the cleansing process of the body especially the eyes. For this, start with orange juice and water for three to four days. The patient suffering from cataract has to avoid white bread, sugar, cream, refined cereals and sugars. Restriction should also list rice, boiled potatoes, puddings and pies. Beverages such as strong tea, coffee, alcohol are to be avoided. This is one of the useful cataract cure.

Another good home remedies for cataract is using aniseeds. The person suffering from cataract should take about 6 gm of aniseeds daily in morning and evening. For better results, take equal quantities of aniseeds and coriander powder, mixed with little sugar. The mixture is to be taken in doses of 12 gm in morning and evening.

Another valuable natural remedy for cataract is grinding 7 kernels of almonds and ½ gm of pepper together in water and having it after sifting and sweetening the mixture with a bit of sugar-candy. It wall help the eyes to regain their vigor.

Another good natural remedy for cataract is using castor oil. This has also found great results treating cataract. Two drops of castor oil are to be instilled in the eyes before retiring to bed. Make sure that the oil is pure and does not contain any particles.

The use of spinach is very useful diet for cataract, according to a study in the British Medical Journal. This could be due to the reason that spinach is rich in antioxidants such as beta carotene. In addition, the researchers suggest that those who are eating the most beta carotene in fruits and vegetables are only 40% as likely to develop cataracts.
